A U.S. Special Edition, this extraordinary timepiece, celebrating the role of the Seiko Spring Drive movement in space exploration, has been inspired by the moon itself, with its patterned gray dial evoking the lunar surface and the sapphire GMT bezel suggesting the light and shadows cast on the moon by other heavenly bodies. Providing exceptional precision, the Spring Drive movement, with its Tri-Synchro Regulator and proprietary Spron mainspring, combines a 30-jewel automatic movement with the quartz regulator for accuracy to +/- 1 second per day, +/- 15 seconds per month. With a power reserve of approximately 72 hours, the movement also offers manual winding capability. Crafted of light and durable titanium with a super-hard coating, this superbly reliable watch features a sapphire crystal with super-hard coating, as well as a screwdown caseback and crown, and a tri-fold push button release clasp. Included on the dial are a power reserve indicator, date calendar, blue GMT 24-hour hand, and LumiBrite hands and markers. Packaged in a special collectors’ box. 10 bar, 100M Water Resistant.
